NIKE
Nike was founded on January 25, 1964, and was called Blue Ribbon Sports, but later named Nike on May 30th, 1971. The founders were Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. The name "Nike" comes from the Greek goddess of victoru.

Nike was founded by Univeristy of Oregon track star Phil Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman. Their headquarters are now in Beaverton, Oregon. Their shoes and brands include Nike+, Air Jordan, Nike Blazers, Air Force 1, Nike Dunk, Air Max, Foamposite, Nike Skateboarding, and subsidiaries including Brand Jordan, Hurley International and Converse.
